Analisis Dan Perancangan Perpustakaan Universitas Muhammadiyah Malang

Abstract

University libraries play a strategic role in supporting academic and research activities. Universitas Muhammadiyah Malang (UMM), as one of the rapidly growing higher education institutions, requires an optimal library system to enhance information services for students, lecturers, and researchers. This study aims to analyze and design a technology-based library system that is more efficient and adaptive to user needs. The research methods used include literature studies, direct observation, and interviews with relevant stakeholders. The findings indicate that the digitization of collections, AI-based library management systems, and integration with the Learning Management System (LMS) can improve accessibility and service efficiency. Additionally, an ergonomically designed library layout contributes to enhancing user comfort and productivity. By implementing technology-based solutions and appropriate designs, the UMM library is expected to become a modern learning center that is more inclusive and competitive. The recommendations from this study can serve as a reference for other educational institutions in developing innovative library systems.
